In another sign that the static sign people are coming, and coming soon, FASTSIGNS has just launched an expanded section of its website aimed squarely at digital signage.

The signage chain and visual communications provider has more than 550 locations worldwide, and today FASTSIGNS announced it has launched an expanded digital signage section on its website at www.fastsigns.com/digital-signs.

According to the company, the new section offers extensive information about all aspects of digital signage, including information on:

  • various uses and benefits;
  • creating and managing digital signage content;
  • product information on displays and media players; and
  • logistics considerations including connectivity, installation and more.

"The goal of the expanded content on digital signs is to provide information to small and medium-sized businesses who are considering digital signage, but may not know how to get started," said Nick Jerome, marketing products manager at FASTSIGNS International Inc., in the announcement. "With case studies, customer testimonial videos, photo galleries and vertical industry-specific content, Web visitors are able to see firsthand how digital signs can become a part of their visual communications strategy and help them get their message out to achieve their business objectives."

The company said it offers digital signage solutions that include everything from initial consultation and message strategy planning to content creation and management, hardware selection and installation, and on-going support.

Jeff Hastings, CEO of digital signage media player provider, said the news from FASTSIGNS "highlights the growing pervasiveness of digital signage and its expansion into more of a mass-market businesses."

"The market is growing quickly, and naturally this will attract a larger distribution channel, including vendors whose primary business has been traditionally centered around the static signage market," he said in an email to Digital Signage Today. "Customer choice is a good thing, and ultimately those customers will make decisions based on reliability, lifetime cost, support, cutting-edge technology and flawless performance of the digital signage solution. All of these are areas where BrightSign has excelled for many years, and we'll continue to do so in the years ahead."

The chain collaborated with digital signage expert Lyle Bunn, who has been named an Industry Innovator and Influencer by Sign and Digital Graphics magazine and one of 2013's 11 Most Influential People in digital signage by DigitalSignageToday.com, to create the expanded website content. The website also offers visitors the option to request more information from a FASTSIGNS visual communications expert.

FASTSIGNS International Inc. is the worldwide franchisor for the more than 550 FASTSIGNS centers located in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Brazil, Mexico, the Caribbean, Saudi Arabia and Australia (where centers operate as SIGNWAVE), the company said.
