Summary of PositionJustin-Siena is seeking full-time Network Administrator for the 2015-2016 academic year. The successful candidate will begin as soon as possible to fully transition into the position. Reporting directly to the Vice Principal for Strategic Initiatives, the Network Administrator will serve as a member of the Ed Tech Committee and be on call some nights and weekends to ensure minimal network and system downtime.Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a desire to provide excellent IT service and support to students, faculty and staff. The Network Administrator has experience supporting many types of technology needs for many types of users. This position is key to maintaining the critical systems which support learning, teaching, and administering a highly visible, successful, and collaborative school. The Network Administrator must also show a willingness to participate fully in the Justin-Siena community.

Required Knowledge and Skills Perform basic and intermediate server (and appliance) system administration and maintenance, including:• MAC and Windows file and application servers (including: DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Open Directory, Exchange mail servers)• Security Surveillance servers• Sophos• Cisco / Meru wired and wireless network infrastructure.• NAS storage arrays• Perform administrative duties on Active Directory• Help support, maintain, and administer network infrastructure and equipment• Perform proactive, routine maintenance and upgrades to desktops, laptops and servers.• Create and deploy standardized installation images for laptops and desktops.• Responsible for initial prioritization, troubleshooting, and timely response to user requests, issues, problems, and escalation.• Provide in-person, email, and telephone support for board members, faculty, staff, students, and parents.• Assist in classroom technology implementations and in-class support (including, but not limited to: SmartBoards, digital inking projectors, document cameras, web services, etc.)• Set up computers, printers, and A/V equipment, as needed.• Purchase appropriate hardware, software, servers, appliances, and networking equipment.• Set up new servers, appliances, services, and/or equipment.• Facilitate repairs and upgrades for equipment, appliances, laptops, desktops, and servers.• Monitor software licensing and ensure compliance.• Perform and administer data backups and ensure their reliability.• Troubleshoot and repair of Windows and Macintosh OS computer hardware and software problems.• Troubleshoot network problems, and escalate, if needed.• Create and maintain documentation for network, and user applications and software.• Work with Vice Principal for Strategic Initiatives and other tech staff to spot trends, roll out proactive projects, and other duties as assigned.Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years experience with the following:• Administering/troubleshooting Mac OS X clients (10.6, 10.7, 10.8)• Administering/troubleshooting Windows ( XP, Windows 7, 8)• Administering iOS (iPad) clients (5.x, 6.x, 7.x, 8.x)• Imaging tools for mass deployment & upgrades• Administering Apple OS X Server services• Administering Active Directory / Exchange services• Backup software• Managing/deploying VOIP systems• Manage and configure servers and virtual servers & network attached storage• Administering network printers and copiers• Troubleshooting interactive whiteboards (SMART Technologies) and projectors (Epson)• Supporting with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premier; Dreamweaver and Flash skills are recommended)• Command Line & Scripting (unix/javascript/php/perl/applescript)• The physical demands described here are representative of the essential functions of this position:• Ability to lift 75 pounds• Bending, stooping, crawling and reaching.• Repetitive (keyboard) motion

Qualifications for This PositionCandidates should have a minimum of 3 years experience with the following:• Cisco, Window and Apple certification• Certifications Preferred (but not required): ACSP, ACA, A+, MCSA• Administering/troubleshooting Mac OS X clients (10.6, 10.7, 10.8), Windows ( XP, Windows 7, 8, 10), iOS (iPad) clients (5.x, 6.x, 7.x, 8.x), Apple OS X Server services• Experience with imaging tools for mass deployment & upgrades, backup software, Managing/deploying VOIP systems, servers and virtual servers and network attached storage• Administering network printers and copiers• Troubleshooting interactive whiteboards (SMART Technologies) and projectors (Epson)• Supporting with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premier; Dreamweaver and Flash skills are recommended)• Command Line & Scripting (unix/javascript/php/perl/applescript)

Justin-Siena is a co-educational independent Catholic High School sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers. We serve approximately 660 students from the Napa Valley as well as the neighboring Solano County and Sonoma Valley. We offer a college preparatory curriculum, a competitive interscholastic athletic program, a highly regarded performing arts program, and an array of co-curricular opportunities. The campus is comprised of 40 acres. In 2013 Justin-Siena introduced a 1:1 iPad program and uses Schoology as our learning management system. There are approximately 80 faculty and staff who each have a workstation. In addition to these devices there are 2 MacBook carts, an iPad cart, 3 workrooms with desktop computers and wireless connectivity throughout campus.
