Fast casual Stonefire Grill orders up digital menu boards

Fast casual eatery Stonefire Grill has opened its eighth location, in Lakewood, California, featuring digital menu boards from Wand Corp., according to an announcement from the digital signage provider.

As a family-style restaurant concept focused on providing freshness, efficiency and value, the announcement said, Stonefire Grill wanted its newest location to allow it to ease the ordering process, highlight specific menu items for dayparting and showcase limited-time offerings.

"When we started our search, we were looking for a digital menu partner that had creative design skills combined with top technology and who was easy to work with," Stonefire Grill Marketing Director Justin Lopez said in the announcement. "Wand met those criteria and has helped us showcase our unique restaurant concept and menu offerings in a new medium."

For the restaurant, the digital menus have eliminated the expense of having to print static menus, plus they've allowed restaurant guests ample time to make their meal decisions before ordering, Wand said. They've also made it less confusing for guests to order from the menu, have increased checkout totals and provided a greater offering of Stonefire Grill's product mix to restaurant guests, according to the announcement.

The restaurant said it plans to install more Wand digital men boards at additional locations and to swap out promotional content every few months in order to keep its menus fresh.
